To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The daily weather forecast for my area is frequently inaccurate in comparison with the daily forecasts from local media outlets. For Australian use, the data needs to come from the Australian Bureau of Meteorolgy (BOM). Until that happens, this skill provides a rough guide only.
As other reviewers have noted the data is not terribly accurate in Australia. I use it as a rough guide in the morning during the ‘flash briefing’. Hopefully a skill will be released by weatherzone or another provider who source their data from the Bureau of Meteorology. Also frustrating I can’t correct this skill’s pronounciation of my town. Alexa desperately needs a ‘That’s not how you say ____’ feature similar to Siri.
This skill is never even close to right. It’s way off for Australia. The most trusted data in the country is the Bureau Of Meteorology data. Why are we getting anything other than this in Australia? The built in skill is a ZERO star skill, it’s often wrong by 10 degrees, and never right for rain. Please stop using this accu weather data, it’s so inaccurate. Desperate to see the source change to B.O.M data. Zero stars, always wrong temperature for Australia.
As many you others are saying - very inaccurate for regional Australia. For example I asked for flash briefing this morning and was told current temp in Bowral is 8 deg — actual (same time) from the govt website and my own weather station was zero deg .....
very average application not really set up for australia was 10 degrees out this morning I hope weatherzone or Bom can get some sort of skill together for the echo show
