I thoroughly enjoyed this easy-to-read book. We are surrounded by cons every day of our lives. But to have a relative bring this out of the closet is very brave. As more studies are carried out of people with some sort of disorders, it is not difficult to work her out and described in the book as suffering from "grandeur of delusion", just confirms this. It is fascinating to follow her audacity, her arrogance, her lies, and even how clever and also stupid strategies she used. Perhaps her lack of empathy was her strength!!!
I take my hat off to the Freda Marnie Nicholls who obviously had to do a lot of searches and research of the time. Well done. I took this with me on holiday and it entertained me on the plane.
