It was missing the wire in one panel - so not all the sides stood up properly and couldn't be used to contain my 3 pet rats adequately. After a little while of playing in the enclosure - with a box to prop up the one side that didn't have wire they worked out they could jump and escape it.

This is a great little piece for my gerbils. Plenty of space for them to run around and they can't jump out (I ordered the large). So much easier for me to keep them contained whilst i clean their cage and to give them a bit of exercise.

Good for gerbils

This is great for our gerbils to run around and play in. There's plenty of space for them to run around and play with toys, and for two children or one adult to sit in there with them. But it's not too big to fit in the room. (This is the "medium" size.)
It's really quick to set up and fold away (we're just storing it as a flat rectangle rather than twisting it up further to fit in the carrying case; the flat rectangle is easy to slide between furniture when not in use). The integrated floor mat means that any spilled sawdust etc is contained and doesn't go all over the floor. (We tend to put their normal cage open inside the playpen when using it, so they can get in and out easily.)
They haven't been able to chew through it (yet?) and it's just about high enough for them not to jump out (although they really do try, so they need to be watched closely - and I think a bigger animal, like a rabbit, would be able to jump out).
