As is often the case, the book centres around 4 different women who have quite different stories but when they meet it seems absolutely right,
I can highly recommend this book.
I usually really like Cathy Kelly's books but with this one I really couldn't make myself read the slow (very very slow) first half. One of the characters actually annoyed me being so naive for such a long time when you as a reader have all the clues already that something's not quite right. The other story felt so unfair that again it didn't grab me but mostly just made me think, Ok just go and do something about it then instead of complain.. It went on and on.
So I skipped ahead to about half way through and I'm actually glad I did, because I liked the second part better. To me it did feel I didn't miss much, I could just pick up the storylines from there without having to skip back to read up.. I wouldn't recommend this one, I've read a lot of other Cathy Kelly books that I did enjoy though.
Not sure when this review was shown in my Amazon but for some reason I have been sent another?
