Lucy has always been different. Not a wolf but adopted by wolf parents when she was abandoned Lucy knows she doesn't belong. The pack overall has even made her feel that way. But when they find out she is actually a witch, and that their pack was trusted to protect her no one knows what to do.
Caleb knows what to do. He has always found Lucy intriguing. Now he knows why, she is his mate and he is set out to prove to her that they belong together and protect her from a threat they have no clue of.

As always Sam did an excellent job. I have read every book in this series and nearly all her other published work. I absolutely love her writing. She does an excellent job developing the characters. This book is no exception. The alpha male is stubborn and pushy, while the heroine is strong willed and passionate. My only critique is that this book has several places that need some small editing. That is not typical of this author. I don't usually find many mistakes but this book needs a once over to fix the few problems I found. Do not take this wrong, the book is completely worth the money and the small issues do not get in the way of the story. Defiantly worth a read! I would have given it 5 stars if the edits were in place.
Enjoyable read with clever and imaginative plot to keep you turning the page. Lucy never thought she was anything but tolerated within the pack since she was a witch, and the wolves knew from times past that witches were no good. Why should Lucy be any different....right? Wrong! She wanted acceptance for herself and not what she was suppose to be. Plus, a new twist to it was finding she was both Wizard and Witch. No wonder those evil beings wanted her power. Can you say supercharged?
Only criticism is that though I love steamy scenes, I don't want them used as filler in my reads. I love a good plot that keeps me glued to my seat to the last page is turned.
Although definitely for the over 18 reader, Crescent has managed to mix in even amounts of romance and suspense to keep readers entertained and involved in the story. Blending in enough humor to keep the story from becoming too dark. Another winner for Sam Crescent.
