Product Description

One shifter. One human.
Will fate bring love or ruin?

June Yates spends her days mopping and scrubbing her aunt’s inn with only a rat for company. All she wants is one of her late mother’s possessions, but her aunt keeps it locked away with a magic key. June resigns herself to her chores, like serving the handsome new guest with the golden eyes.

After his father’s knife is stolen by a dishonest innkeeper, Dominic Frost vows to retrieve it no matter the cost. He falters when he finds himself drawn to the inn’s servant, who his wolf insists is their mate. But reclaiming the knife is more important than one human—isn’t it?

When Dom makes a shocking discovery, he and June must both decide what to fight for. Their choices will determine whether they’re fated for love or ruin.

This is a standalone novella with a guaranteed HEA.

Wow this is really a fantastic book just PHENOMENAL Must Read. This Author brought my favorite Disney Movie to life in a way, with a lot different things taking place.
Hey what can I say Gus was my favorite!!!
June Yates is human living at the Purple Peony in the small town of Wolfsbane. Life was so happy and bright until she was 15 when her mother died. Than her Aunt Autumn took over it was terrible, she was nothing but a slave, her Aunt didn't even give her, her old room, she had to pay for everything she got. She tried  saving things from her mother, it never worked out. Now she's 21 still begging, June only just wants one thing only one thing!!!
Dominic Frost aka: Dom is a Wolf Shifter on a mission, his brother had his dad's new knife stolen from him by the innkeeper, he was getting it back no matter the cost. Dom took a room at the Purple Peony, only to see the slave's malnourished body with her being abused every second of the day. Dom felt the need to protect and feed this beautiful sweet slave, BUT he was here for the knife, he needed to find it and leave. She was human, nothing to him, or was she?

I am voluntarily reviewing a book gifted to me by the author with no obligation.

I have read other books by this author that I really loved and connected to the characters. This one didn't quite hook me as well as the others did. I felt that Dom's character wasn't built enough for me to connect to him. Even though he was a shifter, we don't actually see much of his shifter form or hear much of his back story.
Now when it comes to June, I connected more with her since it focused a lot more on her back story and her life, which just so happens to have a lot of similarities to Cinderella.
I also felt that the ending was a bit rushed for my liking. One minute, their relationship was starting, and then the next minute, it was solidified. I felt it needed a bit more of a buildup.
