There's a lot of things about this book that I don't like. But I'll start with one thing that I do like. Ed Ping really did try to be original. And I really love his other book "If you're sleepy and you know it". Sadly I will be deleting this book.
Here is why: Soon after I got the book then my 3 year old asked me if he could do his school. He's learning his ABC's so he flips through the eBooks and practices each letter. He was excited that I just got a new alphabet eBook. And hearing his excitement my 5 year old also came over to see the new eBook. My 5 can read and my 3 year old knows the alphabet but some of them, they could not figure out together.

" F is for flat" , it shows a picture of a piece of paper that was once crumbled up then flattened out again. " P is for pip" , It shows on Apple this cut in half, And you can see the inside the Apple Core. Maybe some people call the Apple Core a pip, but I have never heard of that myself. " S is for steam" , It shows a picture of two tea cups with steam coming out, but you can hardly see the steam because the background is white. My 3 year old said, "S is for cup". There's quite a few kids that already get the letter S & a letter C mixed up so that just makes it worse. If you want to use the word steam, then show steam coming out of the pan, or steam coming out of a Tea Pot. But not a teacup.
" T is for tan" , It shows a picture of a lady in a bathing suit holding a bottle of tanning lotion. I would have to say that one is the worst! " U is for ukulele" , that wouldn't be a big deal except for there are two letters for every page. The letter U and the letter V on the same page, And when my 3 year old said "U is for violin", I knew there was something wrong.
" Y is for yacht". That's not too bad, a lot of people use that one, but there is a problem with that one. A 3 year old is going to say, " Y is for boat", and a five year old cannot Sound that word out, it is more like a sight word. I have always hated that one and it's definitely not original.

Have this book on my kindle and love it especially since it repeats itself and just when you think it's ending it gives you just a little bit more!
