Confusing with too many characters

I love Jude Deveraux, but this book frustrated me.
It would have been good with a little historical back story, and the story of the two lead characters, but instead we have confusing time travel, characters that seem to live in the current time, but also think they lived in the past and 3 'offscreen' romances going on, 2 of which get resolved, but with no real details. It felt like the editor said 'get to the point' and suddenly everything gets tied up with a little string.

I far prefer when Jude writes books straight. Either historical, or contemporary. This blending and use of time travel and all the characters that come and go meant I had to endure this book to get to the end. Which is better than I can say for the last book in the series, which I didn't finish.

Histoire très agréable à lire, avec dans ce livre des éléments de SF : l’héroïne voyage plusieurs fois dans le passé à travers ses rêves pour essayer d'arranger les erreurs du passé : en effet, l'histoire d'amour qu'elle vit au présent est une redite du passé, et pour que cela se termine bien pour elle, il faut qu'elle sauve son alter égo qui a vécu une histoire similaire de la mort.

Un bon moment de lecture, plein d'humour, mais avec des répétitions. Attention, c'est la suite du premier tome, et on perd beaucoup de l'histoire et des personnages si on le lit seul.
