Product description

Product Description

My name is Devan Anderson, I am a photographer and the by product of a cheating father and a childhood evaporated by illness. I'm stubborn, protective, but I care more than I let on. What does a girl like me do when I taste life for the first time?

I'll give you a hint. It isn't what you think.

My name is Ian Jensen and I am a Pediatric Oncologist that works day and night with kids that prove to be braver than I. I am open to Nerf gun fights, having fun, and taking control. What's a doctor who lives life by the book do when given a new chapter to live in?

Ask me again tomorrow?

What happens when a photographer set to live in the dark meets the doctor that lives in the light? What happens when our world collide?

This book... WOW! Just...WOW!

Let me just start by asking, could Dr. Ian be any more perfect?

- Good with kids? Yep
- Amazingly compassionate? 100%
- Dedicated to his job? No question
- Hot as hell beneath that white lab coat? Ah, yeah

Then add Devan - this chick is more screwed up than any character I remember reading. But unlike most, she has every reason to have those mile high, barb wired walls built around her. Only someone with superhuman patience, someone able to see beyond first impressions and only someone with a pure heart could get through them.

This book broke my heart but only because it was so damn beautiful!

Emotions were wrenched from you, some you weren't even sure you were capable of feeling. And in parts I found myself wanting to be there on the hospital floor fighting the bad guys with the sick superheroes of York's story.

Can't wait to find more of Elizabeth's work, because if it's anything like this I'm in for one hell of a ride!

All I Ask is a beautifully written story of two people finding love but not without obstacles in the way. Luckily this is exactly what I found in this story. There is a good storyline and it kept me hooked from page one.

Devon and Ian are two very different people. She's a photograph and he's a doctor. They've had very different childhoods and lead very different lives. I found myself wanting to shake Devon at times, not believing she couldn't see the obvious; she was totally oblivious so things around her. As for Ian, well I wanted to sit down and cry with him. I loved both these characters very much and the author writes well, keeping the reader intrigued.

I cannot think of a way to tell you the basis of the story without giving away anything, so I won't, but this is such a brilliant read. I have never read from this author before but I will be reading more from her now.

This is an amazing read, full of twists and turn, which I suggest you one-click it now!

OMG!! Love this book! All I Ask by Elizabeth York is a very emotional read that you will need to keep the tissues close by for. I couldn't put it down once I started. It is read as a standalone.
Neither Devan or Ian are looking for a relationship. What happens when you discover that love is what you need? Will it be too late?
There were so many loveable characters in this book! Loved Ian and Devan!! The kids in the hospital were such fun, especially Davey.
Excellent read I would recommend this book to anyone!!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Very Character Driven 28 May 2017

I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily reviewing.

This is a book full of lovable characters. It is heavily character driven with Ian and Devan's relationship, Sarah and her loving nature, and Mac's heartbreaking story. While the plot itself is more simple and the setting one I'm familiar with, the characters truly make the story. They are people I could read about all day!
5.0 out of 5 stars What was in the Dark Will soon be bathed in light. 23 May 2017

From start to finish this book was fantastic. With loveable characters in the kids at the hospital, from the attraction from both Ian and Devan. Sarah is the sister everyone wishes they could have. Mac and his story tug at the heartstrings. I loved this story and will but it on my re read rotation often. It sucks you in start to finish. The romance was just right not every story needs to be over the top with it's lusty bits! If anyone knows where I can find my own Ian Jensen, please let me know ;)
3.0 out of 5 stars This story deals with cancer.Thank you for donating a portion of the royalties to cancer research. 30 May 2017

An interesting premise about cancer and life during/after cancer. The characters were many and flawed but that's what keeps one reading. The children were a delight. The adults , some if them, needed a good spanking.
