Product Description

Fallen Billow should be in college like most of her friends, but instead she’s raising her brother and working as a housekeeper at a vintage local hotel. It’s back-breaking work, but not nearly as challenging as fending off unwanted advances from the hotel’s owner.

Thomas McHugh is fighting for our country, across the globe and decades before Fallen Billow was even born. So there’s no way they’re soul mates. There’s no way he can be desperate to see her, hold her, kiss her. Except there is.

Is it a dream when he inks his name on her skin? Is it a delusion when she puts her hands on his face and says she loves him? Nothing has ever felt more real.

Fate has etched paths for Thomas and Fallen that even time cannot touch. A Purple Heart proclaims Thomas’ valor and bravery. And his death. But Fallen dares to dream of the impossible. She wants Thomas to stay. Just stay.

A tribute to all who have served our country, this novel honors the impossible beauty of love and the endless power of hope. Come open your heart and celebrate the many facets of bravery with Fallen and Thomas.

The opening prologue had the tears threatening to spill, yet, for me the rest of the story just didn't live up to that opening.

There is nothing wrong with the story, and the background to the story is wonderful, but there is 'magic' missing. I lost interest just over half way and skipped lots of chapters till the last few.

I am surprised by my reaction, but it is what it is. I usually like stories written by this author.

For All the Evers is a very unique story in tribute to all that have served. When I first read the blurb, I was instantly intrigued by the promise of a beautiful and different love story and that's exactly what I got.

The year is 2016 and Fallon has just got a job at the Hotel Revel cleaning rooms on the fifth floor. She is taking care of her brother who is in high school while their alcoholic mother appears in and out of their lives when it suits her. She cleans multiple rooms on her floor in a shift including the always vacant room #514. Fallon is warned not to fall asleep ever in this room. One shift this happens and she is transported to a dream/reality world where she meets a soldier called Thomas. They are both extremely confused by the situation but Fallon finds herself going to the room every Thursday to fall asleep to she can spend more time with Thomas.

Slowly the mystical secret of room #514 comes to light and its known as a room that aligns soul mates together.

Follow Fallon and Thomas on a magical out of this world experience as you fall in love with the time period, the sweetness of their relationship and the whole magical experience.

Breathtaking and thought provoking. What if? I could not put it down. Imagine the posiblilites if this could happen. I'd love to think that there is that one person for you that you meet each life time. Debra got me thinking about our service men and woman. They deserve to be remembered and treated with honour and respect. What she has written here really tugged at the heartstrings. Knowing that there are people struggling with alcohol addition and the impact it has on their families. Especially the children who are left to deal with the fall out. Fallen took on the responsibility of looking after her brother Fenn when their mother couldn't and really didn't want to. It is a disease that has ended many families and only the person struggling with this addiction can help themselves. Thomas and Fallen, I sit here and like to think of Thomas and Fallen living the rest of the their lives together free to love each and not just in dreams. I know it's a book but really I fell in love with these two.

I truly had no idea what to expect from this read and all I can say is the author left me speechless. In fact, if I were you, I wouldn’t read the synopsis. She’ll take you on a mystical journey like no other you’ve been on. Her extraordinary ability to pull the reader in from the first page and make you want to turn the next and the next and the next remains unparalleled. The plot is a fascinating one. Her characters I loved to hate and others made me come undone. Yes, man-sized hankies are a must here since this story of forever and ever love touches one’s very soul. She kept me on edge throughout so much so that I needed to take a break and even then, I couldn’t stop thinking about the two protagonists’ dilemma. And ooh boy, what a dilemma it is! You ma’am, made me lose sleep over these lovebirds!

For All the Evers couldn’t have a more apt title. For me, it conjured up a story that has no ending. Ah. . . does it have one though? You’ll have to wait and see because while you’re reading, it's not only Fallen and Thomas’ surroundings that come alive. I can assure you that this reader never could have envisaged such beautiful scenes in every sense of the word. Their story; their lifetime and lifeline, made me smile and cry at the same time. I was given no option but to root for two of the most awe-inspiring characters who at the author’s hand, made me feel like I was alongside them. And I can’t thank her enough for giving me this pleasure.

Fallen. Gosh. . . how on earth can I begin to tell you how I felt about her. Firstly, her nature is selflessly caring and the humblest of all heroines I have yet to meet. She takes no credit; she survives by doing her best.

This was one of those books you wanted to know what was going on and how it was going to end from the very beginning.

I would have 5 starred this book up until the last few chapters.

I was so disappointed in the ending. So many things could have happened. So many explanations and outcomes could have been explored. Thomas appearing the way he did was so unimaginative and anticlimactic. Sigh. Nothing had been explained. HATE THAT!

The dedication at the end however was incredibly touching.
