Product Description

Book 2 in the Clans of Kalquor series

The mighty Kalquorian Empire trembles on the verge of extinction. After watching a virus decimate their female population, Kalquor is desperate to find a way to survive.

Marked for execution, Jessica McInness knows joining the enemy is her only hope for survival. When Kalquor’s crown princes arrive to rescue her, she discovers the three alien men aren’t quite what she hoped for in lifelong mates. Arrogant and brutish, the royal clan infuriate her—and awaken passions no other men have.

The Kalquorians are determined to seduce the temperamental woman who inflames their lusts. They relentlessly pursue the hesitant Earther, resorting to forceful means to claim her as their mate. But love comes at a high price when the princes’ choice of a princess incites a rebellion on Kalquor and endangers Jessica’s life.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good to the last drop 27 November 2013

Alien rule picks up very well from where Alien embrace left off. However, with this installment St. John shows a more confident and self aware protagonist in Jessica. I also loved the new personalities in the Kakquor. Way to keeping us on our toes Tracy. I am now very much invested in this series and look forward to the next installation. I personally enjoy the sex scenes as I find them complementary to plot as opposed to overly done as other readers have said. But hey, to each his own. These Kalquor men can tie me up, gag and spank me anytime they want.

3.0 out of 5 stars too much sex, not enough story 16 September 2013
By Kindle Customer - Published on Amazon.com

I have bought other books in the Kalquor series so I know that there will be sex scenes in the book. I enjoyed the other books tremendously; however, this book is all sex and very short on story. It could have been a much better book if more time was spent on building the characters and not so much time on their varied sex life. The truth is, I started this series backward, I read the "clan beginning" books first so I guess I was spoiled by the way each individual was fully fleshed out in those books. You don't get the same feeling with this book. There is no depth to the men, and so I found I didn't really care about them. If all you want is 80% sex scenes and 20% story, then this might be a book you would enjoy. However, I like a least a little more story than I received here.
4.0 out of 5 stars Alien Rule: My favorite Tracy St. John 20 January 2013

If you are familiar with Tracy St. John books, I'd like to recommend this one to you as one of her best.
If you are not familiar, this is a good book to start with even though it's not the first in the series.

The story starts with two Earther dancers on the Plasnian planet who attract the attention of a couple of Kaloquian clans. Jessica soon finds herself tangled with each member of the clan only to learn that they are promised to someone else. There's a lot of back and forth "convincing" done between Jessica and the clan: She "convinces" them to want her with her dance, they "convince" her to join a clan, and then they all convince (this time, no hidden meaning) the Kaloquian government that Jessica belongs with the clan. The scenes are hot and appropriately timed. It keeps you reading.

Again, I skimmed over a lot of the political banter toward the end. St. John tends to load up in the last 20 pages or so.

Overall, a great erotic read from St. John. I originally got this free, not sure if I'd actually spend 6 dollars on it though.
5.0 out of 5 stars That lucky Jessica! 7 April 2015

This one has it all! I love it!!! I like the way it picks up from the first book. And I really like this clan and Jessica- she has spunk and I can relate to that. I laughed out loud on several parts. I had a hard time putting it down, not just because of the steam scenes - although they were good. But because the story was awesome! On a side note, now I really want to take up bellydancing.
This is the BEST sci-fi story I have read/seen/heard in a long time, and I find myself comparing other alien shows I find on tv and think to myself that the Kalquorians are so much better than they are.

Jessica a temper which I loved there was one part in the book I seriously despised but continued to read. I felt bad for narpok I understood why she wanted to be clanned her father is atrocious. This was a great book I really liked the feel the development of the characters also the banter between the characters was well worth purchasing. I definitely recommend this.
