FROM BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF SCIENCE FICTION ROMANCE TRACY ST. JOHN

Very well-written, and with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow, Alien Embrace is a book to enjoy. ~ Archaeolibrarian

Book one in the Clans of Kalquor series.

An Earth woman is claimed by an alien clan of three men, bringing their two worlds to the brink of war.

Amelia Ryan fled Earth’s fanatically religious government to live quietly among the aliens of Plasius. Her life of peace shatters when a three-man clan from the planet Kalquor kidnaps her and holds her prisoner.

With their people poised on the verge of extinction, the Kalquorians are determined to have Amelia for their mate. Amelia is equally determined to escape. But when her body thrills to the ruthless domination of her captors, she finds herself surrendering to desires she never imagined possible.

The beginnings of a great series of a race that is in danger of dying out and is in need of females that are compatible with their DNA. Earth is controlled by a fundamentalist government where women are second class people and men present all the worst aspects of power and control. One female artist is currently residing on a planet that has a far more liberal way of thinking and a clan made of three men from Kalquor arrives on the planet for trade purposes. Earth's government in its need to control insists that she returns but too late as the bond is created between all four and a war is declared between Earth and Kaquor A love story that is worth reading.

4.0 out of 5 stars Alien Embrace 21 December 2016

Alien Embrace is book one of the Clans of Kalquor series by Tracy St. John. This book has been rewritten from the original version and is now double the size. Judging from some of the reviews of the original, I think the rewrite is a success! I liked this book! Whenever you have a new series, set in a different world, with aliens, there is a lot of building to be done. The author does a great job of setting the scene and giving us pertinent facts without being overly wordy.

Amelia Ryan has escaped a fanatical earth whose views of woman and sex are so far out there, I can't imagine living there. Its a place where women are treated very poorly and men are the ones with power. She is an artist now living on the planet Plasius, whose views of women and sex are very free. They embrace whatever it is that makes you feel good, and harbor no judgment regardless of what that may be. When a clan of three Kalquor men arrive for trade talks, they are instantly taken by the artist.

The Kalquor clans are searching for another species to procreate with since a virus has virtually wiped out the female population on Kalquor. Any Kalquor women still around, are left infertile. When the clan determines humans are a good match, the clan abducts Amelia with the intention of making her there Matara-their mate. Clans hold Mataras to the highest regard. They pretty much worship them! Amelia doesn't like being kept against her will, but she is equally confused by her body's betrayal to the sexual escapades the clan takes her on.

This book was a interesting world to dive into! The hulking aliens with excessive sexual parts is an intriguing species that's for sure! The clans are in search of female compatibility and they are overjoyed when Amelia proves to be a match. Rajhir, the clan's leader, wanted Amelia regardless. He and his clan fell in love with her at first sight! They do everything in their power to erase some of the brainwashing that Earther women have been subjected to. It's a tall task! Ultimately they want Amelia to choose them-they want to be with her. When Earth makes a ploy to get Amelia back, she is determined to stay with the clan if she could only make these powerful men from Earth understand that. They, of course, believe she's stupid, and want to make a science project out of her. Will her clan get to her before the male Earthers exert their power over her??

All in all, a good start to the series! I look forward to reading about more Kalquor clans finding their Earther matches!
