Product Description

What do aliens think of us? First contact from the alien point of view.

Wings of the Guiding Suns

Sita is born to be the emissary between dragonkind and a world on the verge of doom. If she saves the people about to become extinct, she will join her fellow dragons sailing on the solar strands. If she fails, her life will end the moment the dying world does. The choice is simple: leave and live. Yet, the people resist and time is running out.

Aftermath

Noret’s world is destroyed by an attack on the moon. It sends the city tumbling and kills thousands. Among the dead is her bonded, whom she cannot survive without. Her kind has never known violence, but an act of war must be answered. What will be her reply?

Hooray and many accolades for my favorite sci-fi writer. I loved both of these stories. Was just amazed by how she can write such foreign characters and scenes in a manner that I can picture and relate to. I highly recommend this book for all audiences.

5.0 out of 5 stars Two marvelous speculative fiction short stories 5 November 2016
By Christine Rains - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Two short speculative fiction stories that will leave you with awe and wonder.

"Wings of the Guiding Suns" brings dragonkind to Earth help the last of the humans as the sun is dying. Sita must find a way to convince the humans to leave and live on, but they don't trust outsiders. A marvelous tale of what the future might possibly hold and a ray of hope. I loved Sita's struggle with her duty and her desire to help the humans.

Noret’s world is destroyed by a vicious attack in "Aftermath." Her bonded is killed, and she cannot survive without her. Cities crumble around her and all songs go awry. Yet Noret must carry on to save what remains of her people. This is beautifully written as the world is one of rhythms and songs. Crystals carry them and this is how Noret's people thrive. A peaceful song is the only way to live in harmony, but their attackers want war.
