This exclusive collection, containing two books, gives readers an insight into the most intriguing character from the Alien prequels.
Before Alien Covenant, David was stranded alone on the Engineers' planet and ― left to his own dark devices ― he began to push the boundaries of creation. Delve into this exclusive collection, containing two books, to gain an insight into the android's descent into madness. The in-universe sketchbook contains over two hundred illustrations from the set and will take you inside the mind of David. It features the complete arc of his journey from the studies of flora and fauna, to his more sinister experiments on creatures, and the disturbing demise of Dr Elizabeth Shaw. The companion book, Developing the Art of an Android, holds an interview with Dane Hallett and Matt Hatton ― the artists behind all of the beautifully grotesque sketches. Alien Covenant: David's Drawings will satisfy every serious fan's hunger for details of the most intriguing character from the Alien prequels.

A great addition to my ever expanding library/book collection at a great price for what it is.
Very happy, Highly recommended.

The hardback book that features the collection of his drawings is bound in a black, embossed, leathery material and really creates an impression of quality when held in the hand. Many of the highly detailed drawings inside are, of course, every bit as grim as one would hope they would be and triggered within me some rather bleak and desolate thoughts regarding our species. Disturbing is the most apt word I can summon to convey my impression of the contents.
The accompanying softback book provides a supremely detailed account of the concept artists' intentions, creative processes and other areas of interest for those who appreciate the drawings and the film.
Overall this is an extremely worthy addition to the collection of fans of Alien Covenant and other films in the series and should also appeal to those with a penchant for the macabre.
Highly recommended!
