I love comics / graphic novels from Image comics, simply for giving a chance to more 'indie' artists.
I bought this comic a bit on a whim, expecting a soppy love story, but I got very positively surprised!
The book is full of charm, slight awkwardness and confronts social issues in a well presented manner.
Somehow it evoked similar feeling in me like the manga The Yokohama Shopping Trip (Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō), also a warm tale starring an android.
This one is set in near future, and presents issues which are possible to take shape in our 'western' society.
You can read this directly, you can take the plot as a metaphor - either way the story is very entertaining and well worth the read.
A great debut by Sarah Vaughn - recommended!

Nice clean art with a very nice and touching story. I'm off to buy the next two books. Cheaper on kindle than comixology which is odd. .
Me ha gustado mucho.Reviewed in Spain on 26 April 2016
