Review
"Goddard's prose has sheer explosive energy and it seems clear that he has a long and successful career ahead of him."--Eric Lustbader"Tense...fast...violent...entirely plausible, because of Goddard's brutal attention to detail and police procedure."--"San Diego Tribune""Cleverly plotted. . .Things happen and scenes shift at breakneck speed."--"The Washington Post Book World"

Engrossing Science-based Thriller!

I heard an interview with Ken Goddard on NPR this past year and have wanted to read one of his novels. In some minor respects from the story you can tell that it's written in the 80s (cultural references, mostly). However the plot was engaging and I couldn't put my Kindle down for a week reading this! Definitely helped fill the hole that the end of Breaking Bad left.

I've been a fan of Ken Goddard for YEARS!! This book is a great read and makes some major comments about drugs, drug use, and who we are in America. Everyone is looking for the 'holy grail' and when an associate Prof. at the local college finds it, the whole town turns upside down trying to get hold of it! Great book from a great author, just wish he would write a few more, SOON!!!

What if...?

A gripping and well written novel about how one drug lord goes rogue, decides to outflank the drug cartels AND drug enforcement officials, and create a product that would revolutionize the drug trade as we know it.
Greed, circumstance and events make this book a good read.

I also read this many years ago & found a cheap enough copy here on Amazon to get it. I forgot how brilliant this is. It's hard to put down once you start reading it. LOL. This an interesting combination of subjects based on a total screw up by one idiot wanna be criminal...It's worth reading. Suspenseful & humorous with some real scientific & societal truth behind it. What a long strange trip it's been :)
