I love my little girl who I have named Misty. I lost my beloved companion a few months ago and needed something to relieve my sorrow. Then I discovered Misty, and she (almost) makes up for the loss of my Princess. I am 83 and would recommend this delightful little girl to anyone who is feeling lonely or just needs someone to talk to and have a little interaction with.

I sent this back the very next day. I wanted another cat after losing my last one, but hubby wasn’t keen. After many discussions and lots of tears I looked for a realistic cat toy instead. This came and I was really excited, all the reviews were brilliant and I thought it was the answer. Unfortunately it wasn’t. The meow is too loud and frequent for a real cat and the purr is ok but a bit like a motor running. However when put on mute (so no meow but still purring) it was better. The main thing for me was the clunky noises each time the cat moved and the gaps in the fur (neckline, ears etc where you could feel the mechanics of the cat. Not for me I’m afraid, it didn’t feel worth the money. Another layer of something over the mechanism and leather paw pads and nose could add to the realism. I’m very disappointed as I’m still searching for a solution to my problem.

I got this for my mum, she has Alzheimer’s and it made her smile, she is happy to have it on her bed and finds the purring sound relaxing, I think and how this will be great company for her and not feel so lonely

However....
You can hear the mechanics they are quite loud and the miaow is awful lol so we have it on mute
Guess it depends on the stages of Alzheimer’s but so far so good

Amazing for dementia patients - just one small warning

I bought this for my mother with dementia and she loves it. Petting the cat seems to calm her, and she is always checking to see where the cat is (if it's not already on her lap); she even sleeps with it beside her in bed. It's a hit with all the ladies at the nursing home, I've had numerous requests for info on where to get one.
Just a couple small comments. One, the meow isn't realistic at all - it really does sound like a human mimicking the sound. It's easy to avoid though - you can have the cat on 'mute', so it purrs but no meowing. I've left mom's that way and she is happy with it. My main issue is when the cat goes to lick it's paws. Most of the time when it makes this action, the entire top portion of the cats body flips backwards, causing a shift in weight and making it fall off laps or beds if it's too close to the edge. I ordered a replacement thinking that this was just a defect with the one I got, but the new one did it as well so we're keeping the original. It's not enough to make me return the cat - my mom loves it too much to do that, and I really do think it's well worth the money overall - but you definitely need to be careful. This action will also make the cat freeze in the awkward half-backwards position if somebody is holding it to their chest tightly, but turning it on and off has fixed that so far.

I saw one of these on YouTube and knew I wanted one. I have now got two, and they sit either end of my settee. They are wonderful. All my friends love them. As other people have said, they miaow, bit louder than I thought, they wash their paw, roll over, and the purring is lovely. Quick stroke on their backs and away they go. Delivery was very quick, and I am delighted.

My mother lost her real cat in extraordinarily distressing circumstances and the memory haunted her daily. This purchase has not only supressed the ghosts but, seemingly, provides her with true companionship. She loves this animatronic so much even though she's aware it's not real. She does not have dementia and that she connects with it at an emotional level is a true testimony to the people who researched and produced this wonder.
