This is a very thoughtful book detailing the stark contrast between the old work of work dominated by profit driven people and the new world of work that is about delighting the customer in financially sustainable ways.
I like how this book shows why Agile principles work and are useable by anyone and how the old ways of working don't work and aren't sustainable.
What's missing from this book for me is the acknowledgement that Agile is not the way (nothing is) rather a proven principle we can all apply in our own best way for the good of ourselves, other people and our planet.

Best book I've read on Agile, with some excellent commentary on business, and how business is run. Many, many lessons for teams, for Agile and for business. Will be buying many more copies to give to people to read.

Really great book with lots of nice examples of companies that have moved to agile. There are a number of case studies and interviews with people who actually implemented agile in their organisations (e.g. Microsoft and SRI).

Davvero fortemente consigliato.

We are living in an era that requires agile organizations

Embracing agile is needed with great Small Teams, Customer focus, and teams of teams working in a Network of professionals.
According to Stephen Denning, "The new paradigm enables organizations to thrive in a world of rapid and unpredictable change. It enables a team, a unit, or an entire enterprise to nimble adapt and upgrade products and services to meet rapdly changing technology and customer needs with efficency gains, quality improvments, or even completely new products and services. It permits an organization to flourish in a marketplace that is incresingly volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous - the so called VUCA word."

For managers and change agents who want to make the agile transformation a success

I listened to this book on audible and I found it one of the best books for agile I read. Especially the reflection on the impact of our shareholder value driven company management has been explained very well and gave new perspectives what has to change in our companies. Beside this it gives leaders who want to drive for change a number of inspirations what to do and what to avoid.
