I actually didn't even realise that this was the second book in the series so while I will go back and read the first one because I really enjoyed Afraid To Love you don't have to read them in order and this could simply be read as a stand alone.
Ana has been hurt in love but occasionally her attitude annoys me, yes we have all been hurt but to simply treat all men like she does because of it is a little selfish even though I can understand and on occasions her character does grate on me.
Now Teddy on the other hand I loved he has played around but as soon as he meets the one he knows and he goes for it with everything within him, occasionally he could be a little more sensitive but I think he deals with Ana's issues very well.
I also loved Teddy's family who couldn't help but love a family like that, I really felt for Monica Ana's sister and I loved Lou her friend.
One of my favourite lines sums up the book for me too I think "Family was who you let love you ... Family came in all shapes and sizes, you just had to let them in. You just had to have hope."
A well written and enjoyable modern love story that has some heat amongst the emotion and a message that is about family and love that is ageless.
