5.0 out of 5 stars Literary lesson 4 June 2013
By Aline Lermer - Published on Amazon.com

I'm 100% sure this book is useful to any English native-speaker, but not being an English native-speaker, this book was even more useful to me, a real treasure. The English language is "wealthy", but we get so used to the same words and expressions that we miss the chance to bring more color and art to our Writing. The examples selected by the author encompass most adverbs and clichés in use. Her suggestions/alternatives are simply brilliant, even poetic in some cases. I wish I could describe things in such beautiful and clever way like her! But that's why I bought this book. I'm motivated enough to pimp my prose now! I definitely recommend it.

I like the fact the author gave practice assignments and really showed how to improve writing skills with a few techniques. I wish more writers used this tool.

I liked this book. The detailed examples were well-drawn and I could use them to (hopefully) inspire my own writing.
