Product description

Product Description

FROM THE BACK COVER OF THE PAPERBACK EDITION:

Yoga opens the doorway between our outer and inner reality, leading us to Oneness and Joy in all aspects of life. Our nervous system is the doorway...

Advanced Yoga Practices (AYP), Volume 2 refines and enhances the core practices presented in the first volume, and provides plain English instructions for new practices designed to cultivate middle and end stage development on the path of human spiritual transformation. Additional practices include
advanced applications of samyama, diet, shatkarmas, amaroli, non-dual self-inquiry, bhakti and karma yoga, and a variety of approaches for building and managing a progressive and stable practice routine.

Volume 2 does not stand alone, relying on the first volume as a foundation, and building on it. There are nearly 200 additional lessons here for assisting the serious practitioner to realize a life filled with abiding inner silence, ecstatic bliss, outpouring divine love, and unity.

What readers are saying as they make use of the AYP lessons:

“It’s almost a science. You do the practices and progress as predicted.” – MA

“As a physician, it is moving to see the effects on medical conditions.” – KC

“I will be adding AYP to my class offerings to cover the whole of yoga.” – MR

“Far above and beyond all other yoga writings I have encountered.” – KG

“A growing inquiry in stillness has taken me to new levels.” – CL

“Especially useful for stabilizing my kundalini awakening.” – SR

“The tantra techniques bring great pleasure into our lives.” – ZA

“This approach includes a deep tolerance of other paths.” – AN

“Thank you for being the one who said: The guru is in you!” – KK

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is a key to your inner world. Take the ride. 26 January 2017

I love this book and I have a lot of respect and appreciation for Yogani. Years ago, around 2004-2005 when I was a new yoga teacher, I read this book. I wrote Yogani an email with some questions, and he responded and was so kind and helpful. You know, it's those little things people do that you never forget. As things go, my path took me in other directions and I lost touch with the system and the book. Recently, I re-purchased it and immediately reconnected with the ease and joyfulness this book offers to readers, demystifying yoga and meditation, and making advanced techniques accessible to all. This book focuses on meditation first. That was the most challenging aspect for me in all my years of yoga practice, but this book helped me get over the hump with meditation, providing ways to practice and process the experience that I had never encountered before. Also, the spinal breathing meditation Yogani teaches: that alone is worth more than the price of admission. Talk about a key to the inner world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential Companion to Volume 1 15 June 2012

A must have to complete the original 500 lessons. Yogani has a rare gift to be able to share spiritual wisdom with superb clarity and profound insight. The lessons in this book represent Yogani's distillation of a vast array of ancient yoga and spiritual practices. This is the best of the best tailored for the individual to fit today's modern or any lifestyle. These lessons are non-sectarian, focusing on practice and experience above belief and theory thus making them a seamless addition to any spiritual orientation. Yogani has created a road-map to the purifying and opening of the nervous system thus traversing the path to enlightenment. The lessons are systematic and encourage spiritual growth and transformation in a safe and steady manner. Thank you Yogani for this sharing!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book 13 September 2014
By Russ McMahon - Published on Amazon.com

I'm a long time practitioner of asana yoga and was always curious about the other aspects of yoga like breathing and mediation but found the books and online resources confusing and intimidating. However AYP presents clear and well described instructions on breathing and meditation. When followed the results are exactly what is described in the book at least for me. For people on the spiritual quest or the just curious AYP is a great read.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book will change your life 11 April 2014

I started out with Yogani's lectures individually, starting with deep meditation. This book covers a lot more, including meditation mantra enhancements. It is going to take years to incorporate all of the practices covered by Yogani, and believe me you will know when you are taking on too much.
The contents of this book will transform your life, starting with deep meditation. My ability to cope with pressure has improved significantly in the last two months. I cannot wait to see where I am in a year.

Finally, a book that tells it all. I have been meditating for many years. You don't need to pay high costs to learn what is called TM because the same type of method is in this book, plus the advanced methods, and other methods of meditation. It is all here, and all you have to do is read it and follow the lessons. I wish I would have known about this book a long time ago.

I highly recommend this book. Excellent information!!
