After much anticipation, I finally got my hands on Carter and Delaney's story and I've just finished reading Adoring Delaney and absolutely loved it. Such a rollercoaster of emotions. I couldn't put it down and would highly recommend you add it to your book pile today! And if you haven't read the rest of the series, I recommend you check them out. Riley writes with such warmth, steam and conviction that you can't help but become absorbed in the characters lives.
Really loving this series. Book 5 is the story of Delaney and Carter, childhood sweethearts who have kept their relationship a secret for years while Carter was deployed as a Navy Seal. Carter never shared his life with Delaney only spending his leave with her and then returning to duty. She always felt like the dirty secret in the family and after a tragic accident she called it quits without explanation. Carter returns from overseas and is devastated at being told their relationship is over. This is a second chance love story and you will enjoy it.
Touching on such a heartfelt topic - the author was able to work through all the emotions and I really loved it was working through the emotion on both parties' behalf, as well as how the families handled the news. I couldn't put this book down!
Delaney and Carter are up next in book five of the next generation series❣️This story is amazing and is jam packed with adoration, determination, suspense, action and some tear jerking emotions as one comes to expect from Riley😢
A wonderful second chance romance in my mind and I’m intrigued to see how Quinn goes with Brice😜
I love Ms. Riley work, I really do...until Adoring Delaney. 68% of the book are for dwelling, grieving, a miscarriage and a "love relationship". I'm not opposed to that but...Damn. More than half of a book in that? Ms. Riley hints in previous books of Carter & Delaney's on and off relationship, their huge family "knowing -but-not knowing". I just want to read while the book was making me sleepy.
At the 72% something happened... Yeah, Not. I was finally hoping for fireworks and they're wet, so...no fire. The main characters jump into sex and the author let us think that Delaney and Carter known each other deeper than they really are.
The book just keeping a loop of miscarriage-love-love not-miscarriage. The story is drowsy, drowsy and so slow that I want to finally see "THE END".
Even the parents, aunt's and uncles were turn into mushing. Sadly, not the best work of Ms. Riley
Riley Edwards is such an amazingly gifted writer and I have enjoyed every book of hers I have read. She has a wonderful talent for drawing the reader into each of her stories and thrusting them into the pages of her characters’ lives, letting you experience the tale right alongside them. Her words are captivating, spellbinding and beautifully written and you can tell from her writing style that it comes from the heart. Each book I read is better than the last and she always leaves me reeling and wanting more.
This current book, Adoring Delaney, is no different. The emotional turmoil these characters endure for their happy ending is real, raw, and will leave you in tears so fair warning…have tissues on hand! There is plenty of action, suspense, fiery tempers, fun exchanges, pain, drama, witty banter, secrets shared, the love of family, happy surprises, hot romance, and an unexpected turn of events in store for Carter and Delaney as they fight for the future of their dreams that has been a long time coming and written in the stars since their youth. You will not want to miss this amazing adventure. I devoured their story in one sitting…I could not put it down!
*I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

I am reeling from the emotions this journey invoked. I believe these two were soul mates even before birth! The long, and I mean long, road they traveled apart, was so frustrating, but I think necessary, for Carter to get his head straight and focus on his career. Oh, but the toll it takes on his and Delaney's nonrelationship/relationship almost costs them their HEA! There's a boatload of emotions pouring out of this read, some drama and intense situations toward the end, just a crazy rollercoaster of a ride for two people meant to be together. As always, the strong family unit is there for them and guaranteed, tears will be shed, both happy and sad. I always love happy surprising HEAs! A recommended read from me

I was very much looking forward to this book and it did deliver I liked the way Ms Edwards delt with the miscarriage. I found the threat to be a little convoluted I did find Carter to be slightly obnoxious most guys do not keep track of a woman's cycle and Delaney a little winey with carter when she kept telling him to leave I did like the fact he took her to Virginia and she finally saw the life he hid from her. Once the author finishes her next generation series I hope she writes about Carter'former teammates would like to know Logan's backstory
WOW! Riley has done it again! This story is FANTASTIC! This story is about Delaney and Carter. As Carter said, he was born to love Delaney. These two are a great couple but it was unfortunate that it took Carter eight years to figure that out. It always gets intense towards the end and Riley didn't disappoint. Delaney's past came back with a vengeance but Carter got there just in time to save Delaney's life. After that, Carter finally proposed properly and Delaney finally said yes. Next came the surprise that Delaney planned her wedding on Carter's brother's birthday. Also Ethan's wife, Honor, was in labor. Needless to say that day hold 3 special occasions. What a way to end this book! Happy endings all around! FANTASTIC job Riley! I would highly recommend this book.
