Running and training on long wet grass my feet remained dry and warm, excellent grip. Laces seem flimsy which is a long term concern but are easy to get tight and will not loosen during use. Shoes were worn a couple of days before real use and broke in quickly. Bought to replace my Hi-Tec outdoor shoes that lasted me many years of hard hiking/climbing, hopefully these will be competitive long term.
Bought the marked size 12 shoes for my Australian size 11 feet and they fit slightly loose around the ball of toes to the toe tip area but snugly in all other areas with thin socks (pulling the laces tighter fixes this almost 100%). Shoe will provide a firm hug when wearing thick socks which is great for support but bad for keeping feet cool in the 40+ degree Celsius weather they're going to be working in this summer so it's a double edge sword of comfort vs perfect fit. I believe that a cool foot with slight freedom around the toes will be the preference. Fit around ankle is tight which is important for me as I don't want bits of stick or gravel getting in the shoe nor do I want a rolled ankle half way into a hike or mountain bike ride. Blisters do not seem like they will be a problem with this shoe but only time will tell - the most comfortable shoe in training can become a nightmare on a trail after all.
Looking forward to using these in the years to come.
