Product Description

Addiction is the first in a series of standalones that end with HEA!

I’m a sinner with no regrets.
I’m a man with no shame.
I’m a lover with no soul.
What am I?

You’re a loner with no friends.
You’re a beggar with no place to go.
You’re a face with no name.
Who are you?

It doesn’t really matter what I am or who you are. Everyone has sin in common. But I pride myself on doing it better. Through the eyes of another, I am envied. If they only knew the wrath I have endured. Greed can be a motherfucker, but it is what makes us strive to be better. Lust can make you burn, but without it you would freeze to death. Some of us are a glutton for punishment and want to feel the pain that reminds us we’re still alive rather than overcome by sloth.
The lure of these seven deadly sins is like an addiction. And I intend to indulge in each of these unforgivable sins.

The book was actually quite addictive like the characters Taylor & Case were to each other. You know there's more to Case than meets the eye as well as it having something to do with her father in some way.
Blane, Taylor's brother is involved with Case but in what way? So there's some suspense, drama & lots of hot sex.

A very enjoyable read, one I couldn't put down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Mind Blowing Book 18 November 2015

I really am at a loss for words on how to start this review. And I mean that in the best possible way. WOW is all I can really say. Author Shantel Tessier has once again Blown My Mind with a book. I'm still reeling from her last book Dash and than I read this book.

This book pulls you in right from the beginning and takes you on so many twists and turns. That once you think you've figured it out, than something happens and has you second guessing your first guess. Well at least for me it did.

I loved loved loved Case. He was a tough nut to crack through most of the story. It was hard to tell if he was the bad guy pretending to be good. Or the good guy pretending to be bad. Not only that but he was one smexy dirty talking alpha male. Though I did really feel for him and the losses he has suffered.

Oh Taylor I really liked her. She's one of those few female characters that I actually liked. She's strong, caring, loyal and has just enough sass to her. I liked how though even with everything she has been through she stayed strong and positive.

I really enjoyed this book and as I said at the beginning of this review it blew my mind. This book has suspense, a little drama, keeps you guessing and some smoking hot scenes. I really don't want to give anything away but I will say I didn't even see what happened coming. I truly enjoyed all of the secondary characters.

I'm giving this book 4.5 stars out of 5 and can't wait for Brecken's story!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars A hot suspensful read! 25 November 2015

What a wild and crazy ride Addiction was! We are thrown into the world of drugs, lies, and scandal in the latest book from Shantel Tessier! Addiction is a hot and sexy suspenseful read that will have you guessing till the very end. I had a hard time putting this book down once I started it!

We meet Taylor, her brother Blane, and her best friend Savannah in Addiction, and quickly get to meet Case. Blane goes to help their father and ends up making a deal with the devil. Throughout the book, you're not exactly sure what the terms of the agreement that Blane made with Case, but it slowly starts to piece together.

Taylor has no clue about what Blane has done, so when she sees something she shouldn't, things definitely get interesting. Case knows he can't have Taylor, but he's drawn to her and can't stop thinking about her. She thinks he's a drug dealer and can't stand him. Slowly these two build a relationship, even if it's based on secrets and lies. I loved how hard Case struggled with what was going on, but you can tell how much he truly cares for Taylor. Taylor didn't want to fall for Case, but couldn't help it when all was said and done. Things between them are definitely hot, but each time Taylor pushes him, he seems to push back even more, which makes their relationship frustrating and awesome all at the same time.

There is so much in the book that I can't write about because it will spoil everything for the reader. But I will say, this book is full of twists and turns that kept throwing me for a loop. I started to figure out one of the major things early in the book, but was surprised about everything else. Taylor and Case's story is awesome and a gripping story. I loved seeing them together and working through all their issues. I just wish we would have gotten a bit more of an ending for these two. I hope we get to see them in the next book Obsession and see how things are going for them.

If you're looking for a hot and suspenseful read, I highly suggest picking up Addiction by Shantel Tessier today.

A Seven Deadly Sins Novel Book One
Shantel Tessier

5 stars

This was my first read by Shantel and it was amazing. You will feel the pain that addiction can bring into your life and the destruction it leaves in its path ten fold. This is a well written story with great characters that I hope to see down the road.

Seven Deadly Sins is the club owned by Case and Brecken; best friends who are making money running drugs and using the club as a front although the club is also holding its own. Case is a hardened man. He knows what he wants and he gets what he wants. He also shares if you know what I mean. Rachel (insert mean face) is all too happy to split herself between Brecken and Case or have them both at the same time as well. It’s a win for all involved. Case is a very charismatic and mysterious character. I was taken with him for some reason. I felt as if here was more than we were seeing as well as much more to his story. He was someone that scared me but excited me all at the same time. That forbidden fruit! LOL!

Taylor and her brother Blane have grown up around drugs. Her father decided his addiction was more important than his children. Since Taylor was twelve she and her brother have been bailing her father out; making excuses. But its finally time to make him face the music. Another phone call in the middle of the night to come get him; bail him out is not what Taylor needs right now. Blane sends her back to bed and heads off to take care of their father one last time.

From this point on the story takes some serious twists and turns. Everything you think you know will be wrong. The story is heartbreaking at points but necessary. I loved the depth of the characters and the things I didn’t see coming were things I really didn’t see coming. I had no IDEA and it was a huge shock.

This is a brilliant read. Addiction is something that we don’t see on the outside. If you know someone who has an addiction that is taking from their life get them help. Don’t wait. Great read Shantel!

Thank you so much ! I am anxiously waiting Brecken’s story as he is a fantastic secondary character. This is a great start to what is set to be a really good series for us to enjoy.

Excellent job in shedding light to a horrific taboo subject in a wonderfully written story. Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.
4.0 out of 5 stars 4 stars I really liked this author 2 May 2016

I was given this book for an honest review.

4 stars

I really liked this author. I thought it was a great mystery, thriller romance. I loved that it kept my attention to the very end and I needed to know how it ended. Being a first time reader of this author, I just have to tell you it was great. It wasn't one of those things that you just figured out, there was a lot of depth to the book and the characters were really well written. It was nice that it was a three person perspective. You got to hear the story from Case, Blane, and Taylor, and it really made the story very enjoyable. Even when you hated one of these characters, you loved them. You rooted for them all because they all had a life that just was not the best and they were all trying to make it better. I liked the mystery behind Case the most. This man was the most difficult for me to figure out. I hated one minute, loved him and then went back to hating him. Such a great character and you get to see how he grew in the book. Blane was great too. His character was the father figure, but he just didn't have everything figured out. He tried so hard to protect Taylor and for that I can only love him more. Taylor, she is one of those people that has been through an ordeal and I still don't think she has found her way yet, but by the end of the book you see how much stronger she has become. Even the secondary characters were excellent. Taylors best friend Savanah, to Case's best friend Brecken. I cant tell you how much they play an impact in this story.

Taylor gets a call in the middle of the night from her dad saying he was in jail. She refuse but her brother decides that he will go down to bail him out. Taylor tries to convince Blane not to go but he goes. When Blane comes back something is off, and that is how this begins. One night at a night club changes that night for Blane, Case, and Taylor. Mysteries start to unfold. Secrets that have been buried for years come to light and something that starts out to be hatred becomes a love story that blooms.

This story has everything you are looking for. Mystery, intrigue, love, loss, lies, deceit. Everything that you look for in a story is in this book. The characters are great and the story line is different from what I have read before. I really enjoyed this author and it looks like Breckens story is next, but I'm hoping I hear more about Taylor and Case only because I feel the story is still a little unfinished for these two.
4.0 out of 5 stars Addictive Read 29 April 2016

Addiction is filled with danger, intrigue and lust. Good girl, Taylor, has not had an easy life. Her father is a drug addict and after repeatedly bailing him out of jail and loaning him money she's finally given up on him. But her older brother Blane refuses to give up on his father. He believes he can change and become the father he once was before their mother died when the were young. But when their father gets thrown in jail again, he's gone too far and can't be bailed out. So Blane does the unthinkable to help his dad out. But how will Blane's actions affect Taylor's life?
Bad boy, Case, is a known as a big time drug dealer in Chicago, although the cops can't prove anything against him. He owns a popular night club along with his best friend. Case is sex on a stick and can have a different woman in his bed every night. But in his dark world he chooses to use a woman that he and his best friend share. They treat her like a whore and she seems to love being demeaned through sex. She also has a messed up background just like Case. Case, for all of his bad boy image is not a bad person behind the facade.
When he meets Taylor he knows she's hands off because she's Blane's sister and because he has Blane doing dangerous business for him. Case knows he has to keep Taylor safe. She doesn't belong in this dark and dangerous world. The characters are well developed and despite not liking Case in the beginning you can't help but begin to like him when he becomes protective of Taylor. The danger and intrigue begin soon after the beginning of the book and carries through until the very end. There are drug deals gone bad, fighting and a kidnapping. But who is trying to destroy Case and his club "Seven Deadly Sins?. Who is shooting at Case, Talyor, Blane and all of Case's friends? This book will keep you on the edge of your seat and you won't want to put it down. I couldn't give this book 5 stars because I was disgusted by Case and how he treats Taylor once they become involved with each other. Sexually he treats Taylor no better than he treated Rachel, the dirty whore who he shared with his best friend. He said he knew she was special from the moment he saw her so why didn't he treat her with more respect? Still, a great read. The character development and the action and intrigue make this one heck of a read!

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
