They did an excellent job remaking this game. I can only think of two complaints about this otherwise excellent game: the loading times are rather long, and you can only have one local player in online play.

It replicates the old school CTR PS1 feel in a new prettier packaging and with more tracks (which are also great)

The load times on Switch are pretty long (unsure of other platforms). Long enough to put down the Switch, pull out phone and reply to a few messages. However this is only if you load a new level. Restarting if you lose is almost instant.

Also 4 player split screen is reserved for docked mode only.

Have so far only played single races randomly and re-playing them in single player mode so not a lot to write about it as yet. Waiting for another to play with to help on multi-screen mode.

Load times are crazy long for a switch game and the control 2 schemes havent had any thought put into them. It seems to be designed for ps4 first, and switch second.

Biggest nitpick inside the game, the gap between medium and hard is enormous. I can easily get first in medium but hard really depends on luck with items and what the person behind you has. Even the fastest characters get overtaken while power sliding.

Very disappointing compared to MarioKart. Two player option doesn’t even allow the second player to complete a race once the first player is finished.

Really enjoying the game. Story mode is fun. Not as great as Mario Kart but the second best kart racer on the switch and easily the best on the ps4 and xbox one
