Product Description

She saw in him what no one else could see.

He found in her what he could never find.

One moment changed everything but, even with a break in time, their connection could never be severed.

In the beginning he may have been her salvation, but in the end she will be his redemption.

This is Book One in the Acts Of Honor series, the spin-off series to Men Of Honor. It’s Anna and Logan’s story and is told in dual POV, has an HEA with no cliffhanger and it can be read as a standalone. However, I highly recommend that you read the Men Of Honor series prior, as characters play recurring roles in both series.

Warning: Due to mature subject matter, such as explicit sexual situations and coarse language, this story is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.

Seriously K.C Lynn does not know how to write a bad novel, she has managed another number one seller. I was so upset when the Men Of Honour series ended and was over the moon to see them all back plus more in this series. This is Anna and Logan's story it's powerful funny and sad but the strength shown throughout the pages is heart warming I can't wait for book two.

I can not put in to words how much I love this book. As soon as I read about Anna and Logan in Fighting Temptation I have wanted to know their story, and what a story it is. I could not put it down, I had to know what was going to happen.
KC Lynn always leaves me wanting more. She sure knows how to leave you dying for the next book.

Where I start with this. This book is my book of 2015. I absolutely LOVE KC Lynn and every single word she writes. No one makes me feel the emotions I do like she does when reading her books.

An Act Of Redemption was no different. No amount of stars does this book justice.

This book is Logan and Anna's story. For those who have read the MOH Series, (which I recommend you do) I know you have been waiting for this story.

At the end of The Final temptation you see Logan in a lot of trouble this starts of where that ends. Logan does something that in his heart he feels he is doing best for Anna, but he shatters Anna's heart. At the same time he shatters his own.

Fast forward 6 years and you Anna trying to get on with her life in college. Out on a rare night out with her room mate guess who she bumps into Yep Logan.

Every feeling they ever had for each other is there times 100, but you also have the hurt and guilt they both feel.

Reading about their journey was just amazing. I felt what they felt, KC has the ability to let you believe you are the characters in the book, that's how powerful her writing is. Logan has always been there for Anna always been the strong one to fight away her demons. Now Anna is the strong one fighting away his demons.

"In the beginning he was my salvation, but in the end I was his Redemption."

Anna has we know has been through an horrendous ordeal, whilst it is referenced what happened to her in the book, esp in the beginning. It is not brought up right through the book which I loved that KC done because that story has already been told in Fighting Temptation, so it didn't feel like she was telling the same story. This is about Logan And Anna moving on.
I Love that you see the gang in this book, some of my favourite scenes when they are all together.

Don't get me wrong there are sweet parts of this book, but no one writes a sex scene like KC Lynn, holy hell, I thought my kindle was going to catch fire. Logan is 100% Alpha. That boy has a dirty mouth and an even dirtier mind, and I LOVE IT!!

Words to describe this book.
Emotional: you need tissues trust me

Not enough stars for this book. Cant wait for more off this amazing author

5.0 out of 5 stars #BRILLIANT 6 August 2015
By Jennifer Pierson: The Power of Three Readers - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
I have recently started reading K.C. Lynn after this wonderfully crazy Brit started shouting it from the rooftops on Facebook. Boy, was I in for a treat! LOVED the Men of Honor series, and I LOVED LOVED LOVED An Act of Redemption.

This book is a spin off from the Men of Honor series telling Anna and Logan's story. Anna has carved a place in my heart since Fighting Temptation, and I'm so very glad that the author told her story. Anna and Logan share an bond that is unbreakable. They met when they were young and broken. When circumstances have Logan protecting his sister, the consequences rip them apart. Logan decides to do the honorable (in his head) thing, and breaks it off with Anna. Four years later, Anna runs into Logan at an unlikely place. It brought out all the old feelings and she's still enraged that he made that huge decision without her. Logan can't stay away from her because he never stopped loving her, to the point of staying celibate, and she hasn't dated in the four years since they were separated. One thing's for certain, the spark is still explosive. As they start to put the pieces back together again, danger is closing in. Will Logan's redemption keep them safe?

I LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED and LOVED this book. Anna and Logan's story was heartbreaking, and yet so beautiful. There was sweet young love, heartbreak, excitement, intense suspense, off the charts smokin HOTNESS, and unconditional love. My heart and emotions were all in while reading this book. The dual POV also added so much (if possible) more to the story. K.C. Lynn's characters were well developed, and the secondary characters were amazing as well, especially since they were all those hot men from Men of Honor and their families. Sarge was freakin AWESOME! I fell in love with him from the beginning. The author has serious talent in throat punching you with her brilliant writing, that makes it hard to breathe, to the very end. As with past books, I read An Act of Redemption in one sitting, and am forced to wait impatiently for the next book in this fabulous new series. HIGHLY recommend with everything in me!

3.0 out of 5 stars First KC Lynn book that I will be giving less than 5 stars 7 August 2015

Man this review is hard to write because KC Lynn is one of my favorites. All her books have been easily 5 stars. This one though missed the mark for me.

I know many people will disagree and that is okay but I was hoping for more of a back story with Anna and Logan, and maybe a little more angst after the time had passed. Once I hit about 40% I felt like the book could have ended. Obviously there a was a major conflict that still needed worked out but that was predictable, and didn't have much to do with the couple as a unit. I just was hoping for a little more conflict between Anna and Logan because of their history. Things just fell into place a little too perfectly. At least it felt that way since we didn't get much back story nor did we get to see the struggle Anna had while Logan was absent. It was like once he was back in the picture things were fine. Well I will say after a chapter with a couple small arguments things were fine.

I know I am being vague, I just didn't want to write any spoilers. However, I will absolutely continue buying anything that KC writes because she is incredible but this one definitely wasn't my favorite. I already know I will be in the minority but I had to give an honest review. I look forward to future works from Ms. Lynn!

5.0 out of 5 stars What an introduction to a new-to-me author!!! 5 August 2015

Seriously, I hate it when I don't fully pay attention. I got all excited, seeing it was a new series and was like YES, this will be a great introduction to K.C. Lynn. Not until after I started did I realize this was a spin-off of the Men of Honor Series. It can be read as a standalone, but it is suggested to be read afterwards.
This hit me right in the freakin' feels. And WOW was that HOT OR WHAT!!!
Was this enjoyable as a standalone??? Yes, but I am also really glad I was in a sun stupor when reading it, so when I get to the Men of Honor Series, I can re-read this and enjoy it with all the back stories, too.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ex-Inmate Goes Undercover and Wins Back His Sweetheart 6 July 2016
By Amazon Customer - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
Highly recommended to start with the earlier books in the series as Anna's story first begins in Men of Honor Book 1 Fighting Temptation. Anna was rescued by Jaxson (the hero of said book) when she is a teenage girl. This book, An Act of Redemption, is her story years later when she is a young lady. She and Logan (our hero) are high school sweethearts with a really lovely backstory. After her horrendous experience in Fighting Temptation, Logan becomes part of her healing process. His sweetness and patience with her is really awesome. Their relationship in general earns three stars.

In this book we find that Logan and Anna have been ripped apart for several years as Logan went to jail for manslaughter. This story lost me right off the bat as I didn't find Logan's prison sentence to be believable. No way Logan would be sentenced to jail for protecting his mother and sister. It was self-defense and it didn't make much sense at all that he was put behind bars for that at his age with no priors. THEN how he gets out of prison makes no sense either. Totally unbelievable he would be recruited the way that he was to make the plot line happen. He's really open about what he's doing with way too many people to make the story believable. He tells his sister, several friends... the homeless guy working at the gym. The entire plot line is just ludicrous. I'm being vague as I can't say too much more or I'll give spoilers... so I will just say the plot was too silly to even suspend reality for.

Overall this was an average read. The plot was ridiculous. And there wasn't a lot of tension or chemistry between the hero and heroine. I felt it earlier in the novel (the back flash was excellent) but it lost me about 30% in. The heroine forgives the hero too easily. The hero is open with everyone except the heroine (ugh pet peeve) under the pretense of protecting her (but it's ok to tell his little sister who is a child?). Jaxson (hero from the first book) was grating in this book too - his protective nature with Anna over the top and out of place when Logan is her man.

Overall I was just frustrated and hugely skimmed the second half of the novel.
