Product description
Review
'Studied at A-Level, this textbook gives a strongly detailed analysis of the poltical intrigue, incidents and events that stirred the passions of the Revolutionary Mob towards the years of the Directory. Sensibly organised to concentrate attention on periods of transition, this book is useful in providing overall summaries in different formats and tailor-made guides to notemakeing on the chapter in question, along with provision of sample questions and responses. Definately recommended.' (Amazon reviewer)

Good detail and scope, somewhat heavy going in places.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 August 2013Verified Purchase
This is a hugely detailed textbook which, along with thought provoking activities gives a great grasp of the period. However what is does lack somewhat is a sense of historigraphical and thematic overview and would be heavy going for some who did not have a previous grounding in the basics of the subject. This is why is has only received 4 stars.
