All sins are equal in the eyes of God, but I'm not God. One sinner made me his sin, and I can't let men like him live. I want to kill them. Every. Last. One.
Ezra James is no different. I was going to kill him, but then I found myself obsessed and possessed in the most reverent of ways. I became his sinner, and he became my sin, but the wages of sin is death, so I must kill him.

The son of a whore, raised by criminals, molded to fit into a world without morals. I've never given a shit about anything until the night I watched a man drop dead at the feet of my little killer. She called to my depravity, and everything in me demanded that I take her, possess her, own her. Some monsters hide behind the faces of angels.

Damned. Broken. Irredeemable.

Through blood, absolution shall be found.

"Forgive me Father for I have sinned" !!! WOW what a book. Loved it totally, well written, and it flowed really well all through the book.
This is about Evie and Ezra. Both are broken in different ways. Evie, through her childhood, through constant abuse. Ezra shows no feeling for anyone, towards anything. He is a bad person who pimps out women to bad men who want their women to do just about anything that would make your toes curl. Evie is on a mission from God, to destroy and kill any man she comes into contact with, she trusts no man at all. Evie and Ezra meet and though they are not your usual couple, I couldn't help but like them, they definitely grew on you if that was possible at all, and by the end of the book I was waving the flag for them both !! I felt for them, I ached for them, sometimes I despised them but boy did I enjoy them.
I'm all for dark reads, I love them. I have read some of the worse, but I didn't think this was particularly an extremely dark book, BUT I did think it was very brutal, full of angst, sad, desperate, hopeful and I so enjoyed reading it. I didn't see what was coming at the end which was a great suprise, and I love suprises !!!!!!!
This is the first book I have read from these authors and now it won't be the last by any means. A brilliant book that I fully recommend to read !!!

Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review I don't think I can be more honest!Basically the story is of two characters Evie and Ezra they both grew up differently but in a weird way there very similar. The authors say it's dark beware if that's dark I don't want to know what the black hole is. Is it twisted? Can a sane person read this? If this makes sense does that mean you have a very weird and wonderful way of thinking or are you as demented as these two! You be the judge. You will addicted by the first few chapters in and you will turn to the dark side like all us.

I call these two characters beautiful monsters, it's very fitting!

Fark where do I start, well first off I thought reading Lili st Germain - the gypsy brothers was dark. I thought corrupt by Penelope Douglas was twisted by I'm sorry I'm only 4 chapters into absolution by LP Lovell & Stevie J. Cole and I have to say this takes the cake of the most twisted, dark, sick book and I'm absolutely addicted

You know the moment you read a 5 star rating book Absolution LP Lovell Stevie J. Cole and your head is spinning like holy s*** WTF did I just read! Like I can't comprehend how that s*** went down and some how made me addicted, intrigued, left me wanting more, and how on earth did it make sense. Like WOW!!!!
Far out I feel like I'm tripping out!

5.0 out of 5 stars When we first meet Evie she pretty much completely broken 12 January 2016
By Kerry Fletcher - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
This is a standalone dark romance.

This is the story of Evie and Ezra. When we first meet Evie she pretty much completely broken. I don't mean some man has done her over and broke her heart. No i mean she's completely messed up from growing up in a kind of religious cult. Told she's a sinner her whole life she believes it. She's taught that beauty makes others sin. That her beauty is the cause for everything bad that happens to her so she must endure pain and suffering to get forgiveness. Yep pretty messed up. She escapes and goes on a mission for god (or so she believes) to rid the world of bad men who sin. Who make her a sinner. Then we have Ezra. Equally broken by his past in his own depraved way. Taught not to have any emotion towards anyone or anything Ezra is a very bad man. He pimps out women to some very sick men after he has conditioned them to take what they need to in order to earn him money. He has serious connections with the mob and thinks nothing of killing people. He takes it all in his stride with a puff of his cigarette and a sinful smirk.

I won't say much more about the plot as i don't want to give spoilers.

OK so I'm kinda worried about my own sanity after reading this book. Reason being i actually could relate to these two. Well not personally because I'm not from a religious cult and i don't kill people in my line of business but you get my meaning. I felt desperately sorry for both of them from the start. They both made the best of the life they had forced on them. The story is a slow burn kinda story the crazy kinda creeps up on you and when it does go full on crazy it funnily feels normal... I was eager to turn each and very page i wasn't sure what was about to come next! I went to bed on 50% thinking about these two and their lives and kinda rationalized them, then when i went back in it was starting to build towards to the end and it actually made sense to me their actions and reactions. What this says about me i don't know. But i can say i thoroughly enjoyed the story from start to finish. It's different from all the usual fluffy take them to dinner, have hot relations and then claim them for the rest of their lives story. This is a completely messed up relationship between two broken people. Massive warnings here it is NOT a fluffy love story it is crazy and messed up completely wrong relationship but because of their past's they actually fit together perfectly. There is references to a religion but this is not a real religion it's a made up cult religion so please bare that in mind. There is violence from a man to a woman and violence from a woman to a man. I know lots won't like this but i will say it fits into the story it's not random abuse. Not sure that makes sense, i don't want to give spoilers so if you read it you will get my meaning. There are murders and tortures plus a fair bit of sex.

This story will make you think and feel sorry for people you may in real life call crazy and evil. I was pulled right into the cray cray and am now struggling to read light happy reads!! I can't talk highly enough about this book so if you're looking for something dark and different from the norm this is the book for you. If you want hearts and roses it is not!!

Loved it!!! massively!!

5 stars of Absolution. May i be forgiven too!

5.0 out of 5 stars What in the hell did I just read? 16 January 2016
By Jess (Nerdy Dirty & Flirty) - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
It was crazy, but wildly intriguing. Dark and twisted and dirty and OH so messed up.

"This isn't BDSM or any of that prissy sh*t. There are no rules, no safe words. I do not want her willing submission. I want to drag it from her, screaming and crying."

Ezra is a bad man, he kills because he can. He hurts people because he wants to. He feels no remorse, he just does.

"I wonder if she even knows how far down the rabbit hole she's fallen because there is in no getting out of this now."

Evie is a damaged, damaged girl who kills to rid the world of sinners. She was born and raised in a twisted world where she is sin and the only wants to feel absolution for her crimes.

"I'm obsessed, possessed by him. He is the devil and he has drug me down to hell."

"...yet the girl is like some sick sort of sick crack. She's all consuming, and I can't get enough of her."

Evie finds herself on the hunt to find her sister's killer and that hunt leads her right to the most powerful criminal around, Ezra. She is looking for work to find an "in" to get close to the person who took the only good thing in her life away. Ezra is that "in" and she is about to be subjected to his very special brand of interviewing. Ezra has his own problems brewing, missing girls and blackmail are not good for his business and Evie is adding to his list of issues. Because there is something about this crazy little killer that throws his whole world in a tailspin.

I have to tell you this was unlike anything I have read. You never know what is coming and I have never been quite as stunned as I was while completely submerged into the murky waters of this book. Sunshine was not to be found and the more you learn about these characters the more broken and damaged they become. Guessing isn't even worth it because it is hard to predict crazy. There were unexpected twists and more "WTF" moments than I can even count. If you are afraid of the dark side, or can't handle a little (or a lot of) blood, or don't like raw and uninhibited sex scenes, then just walk away. If you are a soul like me and need a little walk to the dark side and book that will stick with you for some time, then look no further. When these two authors get together, you should know you are in for a wild ride.

5.0 out of 5 stars I won't lie because it wasn't in my comfort zone it took me a few to get into it but when I did it took of like a rocket 12 January 2016

First of all... If you read the warning and you aren't going to have an open mind about this book.... MOVE ALONG.

When I first started reading this book it was so far out of my comfort zone that Russia was closer to my comfort level than this book. I won't lie because it wasn't in my comfort zone it took me a few to get into it but when I did it took of like a rocket. With that being said this is one of the best books I have read so far because it does make you personally question a lot of things. I felt bad for the people that I shouldn't feel bad for and I thought by the end of the book I was going to have to be committed. That's how well these characters were written you feel their pain, happiness, and any other emotion.

In the warning it mentions a religious aspect, please realize this is made up in their crazy beautiful messed up minds. lol I also love that it has kind of a more twisted Boondock Saints feel to it. Please don't let seeing a religious cult in the warning deter you from this book.

I loved this book so much I absolutely can not wait for the next one!

4.0 out of 5 stars Get off on the pain...not for the easily disturbed 20 February 2016

VERY dark...yes, the blurb and warning are all correct...and I liked it. There were some fairly standard parts that were typical of what I have read before in books about religious nutcases and their belief in evil, sinners and beauty, but it was still very bloody entertaining and painful to read at the same time.
I figured out before the end came what the twist was but it still held my attention, much like a horror movie does that forces you to watch with only one eye open because it is too shockingly scary.
Read if you can handle stories with extreme physical abuse, pain and emotionally sick/broken people as they make it through life leaving a bloodbath behind them. Not for the weak or easily disturbed.

**** 4 **** "get off on the pain" stars

1.0 out of 5 stars As sick as it gets, and not in a good way 26 February 2016

Absolution is one of the darkest most evil books I've ever read. I enjoy books about the way the mind works and while I'm only giving this book 1 star I have to say the author has it down expressing how twisted the mind can become. When abuse starts in early childhood, brainwashing accompanies the abuse, religious beliefs beaten into the child, you end up one sick puppy. And Evie is all of those things in spades. She's a cold blooded killer, then seeks absolution at the altar in the church. She prays fervently, not to not commit the sin again, but to do it better the next time. Ezra is just as bent and twisted as Evie is but in other ways. He also thinks nothing of killing in cold blood when he feels justified. Between the two of them they are both just sick people. He inflicts pain in the worst ways on Evie, and she relishes it because she thinks its the only way to be atoned of her sins. This isn't a book I'd recommend if you have a queasy stomach, if you pass out at the sight of blood, or abuse or rape or anything else that's just sick. I read the whole thing just to see if there was any help for either person by the end, and sadly there wasn't. Definitely not my cup of tea, and now deleted from my Kindle.
