I don’t think that I have read any of Linda La Plante’s books without thoroughly enjoying them. This story was just as good as all the other books written by her that I have read, a real great read. Can’t wait to get into the next book.

I have read most of Lyndas books and always find them enjoyable. This book was just as good and I am surprised I had not read it years ago. Anna Travis stories keep me interested till the last page.

This is the first book I have read by the author. Finished it in two days. Really well written with a clever plot that has twists and turns making me want to carry on reading at every opportunity. The development of the heroine Anna as the newest detective of the Murder Squad was perhaps a little too easy but then I suppose she was at the right places at the right times. I will certainly read the next book in the series and maybe all of them in time.

A Good Read

I wasn't too sure about this one at first as to me it seemed the same as the prime suspect series and Anna Travis was Jane Tennison in disguise. Even the rest of the team seemed the same but as I got into the book I found I was really enjoying it. For a change we found out the possible identity of the murderer quite early but I kept wondering is it him or is he being set up? You will need to read it to find out.

Quality reigns with La Plante
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 June 2016Verified Purchase
I read this after another crime drama from another writer. What a difference! Lynda La Plante is in another league to a lot of authors and I thoroughly enjoyed the quality of her writing in this book.
The plot is very good and kept me wanting to read more. I bought it at one of the special book price deals as I find the majority of her Kindle books too expensive, so I only buy them when they are on a deal but, it is worth it at the usual La Plante prices of £4.99.

Love Anna Travis

Love LLP, particularly Prime Suspect series. Anna Travis is a lovely character whom I’m immediately drawn to. In this book she is naive and so you can totally relate to her. Really enjoyed it, the story is fast paced and it is one of those books you don’t want to put down. Will definitely be reading more Anna Travis.

Interesting plot supported by believable characters. Well researched police procedures and forensic investigation techniques. I look forward to reading more in this series.
