1.0 out of 5 stars UPDATE: DO NOT BUY THIS VERSION; NEW VERSION AVAILABLE

**UPDATE 9/11/2019**
Since September, ASUS has released an updated version of this laptop at around the same price. Search for ZenBook 14 UX434FL as it comes with a MUCH better keyboard layout and GeForce MX 250 graphics card.

Please, please do not purchase this UX433FN laptop. It's not that it's an awful buy, but you're definitely getting the short end of the stick if you do buy this version.

**ORIGINAL POST**

I’ve been a big fan of ASUS and Dell products for years. For the pst two years I’ve been using Dell products, so when it came to upgrading I decided to opt for a 14” Zenbook.

The build quality is good, not great though.

Speakers sound good; not great though.

Screen is matte, and it looks good for most things. A glossy touch screen can be annoying sometimes so I’m happy this wasn’t implemented.

Keyboard keys feel a little cheap.

For my purposes I needed a Linux OS on the machine. Before I installed Ubuntu, I needed to upgrade the BIOS on the machine as it was creating many problems. After this update, installation on Ubtuntu 18.04 was still buggy, but Ubuntu 19.04 seems to work perfectly. NVIDIA drivers on this OS are working just fine without much effort.

Overall, I do like the laptop, but I would prefer better keys on the keyboard, as they feel a little cheap. And maybe a less annoying fn-key function.
