About this item
- Popular vacuum mugs keep your coffee hot. Really hot. In fact, they keep your coffee so hot you have to wait for them to cool down. Who wants to wait? BURNOUT was developed by a group of aerospace thermal engineers who were tired of burning their mouths on scalding coffee.
- BURNOUT's Drink Now Technology quickly transfers and stores the heat from the coffee, allowing you to drink your coffee almost immediately, without waiting. Then, it uses this stored heat to keep your coffee at that optimal drinking temperature for hours!

- The BURNOUT Drinkability Guarantee If your BURNOUT Travel Mug doesn't quickly bring your coffee to a comfortable drinking temperature and keep it there for a long time, as promised, we will buy it back, no questions asked.

Introducing BURNOUT, the temperature-regulating travel mug. BURNOUT brings your coffee to a drinkable temperature in minutes, keeps it there for hours! Popular vacuum mugs keep your coffee hot. Really hot. In fact, they keep your coffee so hot you have to wait for them to cool down. Who wants to wait Developed by rocket scientists BURNOUT was developed by a group of aerospace thermal engineers who were tired of burning their mouths on scalding coffee. The revolutionary BURNOUT mug applies rocket science to make hot coffee drinkable right away while maintaining perfect temperature for hours. BURNOUT's Drink Now Technology quickly transfers and stores the heat from the coffee, allowing you to drink your coffee almost immediately, without waiting. Then, it uses this stored heat to keep your coffee at that optimal drinking temperature for hours! No more "lip dance," burned mouth or reheating your coffee Contrast this to a vacuum mug that keeps the coffee at an undrinkable temperature for too long, forcing you to do the proverbial lip dance-continually checking the temperature and continually burning your mouth until the coffee has cooled enough to drink. Then the coffee continues to cool, meaning you'll likely end up drinking some of it lukewarm or be forced to reheat it. What a pain! The secret to Drink Now Technology is BURNOUT's Dual Chamber Design and HeatZorb. HeatZorb is technically referred to as a "phase change material" (PCM), meaning it is calibrated to change from a solid waxy substance to a liquid at a designated temperature (140F). Remarkably, HeatZorb is produced from agricultural sources and is USDA-certified bio-based. It is non-petroleum, non-toxic, readily biodegradable and 100% renewable. The BURNOUT Drinkability Guarantee If your BURNOUT Travel Mug doesn't quickly bring your coffee to a comfortable drinking temperature and keep it there for a long time, as promised, we will buy it back, no questions asked.

I did a quick experiment and it took boiling water down 45 degrees in 2 minutes!!! I'm letting it sit right now, so I'll have to update later. I'll give my 2,4,6,8 hour drink temps!
*****update**** 8-10-18 I lost track of time working on a home project and took a temp at 6 hours (I think it was 127 - so much for my memory) and then this morning, right now at 13 hours, it's at 107!!! My home temp is set to 72. This leads me to wonder. It might be possible to precharge this and have the residual heat "float" for multiple days?
*** 25 hour later update - so after 25 hours of sitting in 72 degree temperatures, it still measures 87 degrees. That's pretty impressive.
My suggestion: if you have a keurig, run a batch of hot water (without coffee) first if you like your coffee really hot all day.
I did read that Starbucks will fill it cheaper if you bring your own cup. I've been wasting a lot of coffee. I love my Starbucks, but man It's so hot, it's undrinkable at first!
I HATE it but to be fair I will try it again and write my feedback.
I followed The BURNOUT Team by preheating the mug with hot water,, it is working like a Magic "almost 8 hours" and now I like it so much.
I gave it four and a half stars because if I need to enjoy my coffee I have to preheat the mug with hot water and that make it longer process.
Thanks The BURNOUT Team for this Mug, at least now I'm enjoying my coffee for longer time.
I started to hate this mug because not holding heat like before, and main issue is the lid, it is so hard to clean and after a time it is became yucky and disgusting.
I'm changing it.
But that's not why I'm returning it. I mean there's only so much you can do with the laws of physics and all... The main reason I'm returning it is the horrible lid design. First of all, it leaks out of the section with the switch mechanism. Want to pour your contents into a cup? Expect a second stream of hot liquid pouring down the side of the mug and all over your hands. On top of that, the fully open position comes out as a trickle. Secondly, the opening is very awkward to drink from. I expect a $100 mug to have a great canister as well as a lid. Seems like they only focused on the first part and just slapped a cheap cap on it without much thought.
The problem is temperature, how to quickly get it to my temperature and keep it there. I have several hydroflask and other brands of travel mugs, but they keep it too hot at first. This mug actually cools it down quickly, it works as advertised.
The price is given on the order page, so I knew what it cost. It’s worth it to me, your results may vary. It’s a nice quality and made in the US. It’s also dishwasher safe, a rare trait in insulated mugs.
My whole issue is with the lid. It sucks, rather it makes you suck the coffee out of it. There is no area for the liquid to pool up and slurp from, you drink out of a little hole on the top. It’s messy, awkward, and a crappy design. It seems like the design team started at the bottom of the mug and gave up in the top half inch. Out of 10 different travel mug designs, this has the worst lid.
I can’t decide what to do with it. I would give it away, but it solves one problem for me at the expense of a different one.
