I tried the firdt recipe. it did not solidify at all. all amounts were correct. i have no confidence in the rest. plus they are all filed with coconut oil. since it is just a mixture the oil will eventually run and stain your clothes. no idea what the author is thinking. the beeswax ones will probaably solidify but since im a guy and have hairy pits then the last thing i want is for wax to be stuck in my hair that i cannot wash out. these might be good for women who shave tho. i will try the sprays. but what a trrrible book. oh well it was only a dollar
It had descent ideas. Persobally lacked explanation of what each ingredient does. But what I can't forgive is suggesting to do a spray with tea tree oil for dogs and cats equally. If that person knew anything about ingredients then she would know that Tea tree oil is super toxic to cats and there had been known cases of cats being poisoned because of that oil. AVOID AT ANY COST the use of that oil around a cat! That conpeletly dismisses credibility and knowledge for me.
I got this book because I’ve been into using natural products for the past two or three years. I’ve been making my own deodorant and tooth paste cause I don’t like putting chemicals on my body. I found the book very helpful and happy with soooo many easy to make recipes. I read the book all in one day and I made my deodorant by following one of the recipes that had ingredients I already had. I would recommend the book to anyone that wants to use natural products as deodorants.
I am trying to get more and more chemical free alternatives , and this book has many options, I started to use a few of them my favorite is distilled water, Tea tree oils in a spray bottle, I can attest this worked in 90 degree humid summer days, though it is not an antiperspirant. there are many recipes that will keep you dry , but this was my favorite.
I’ve known for years that commercial deodorants are bad for your health and have avoided using them as much as possible. However, recently I was prescribed a medication that makes me sweat a lot. And, of course, that leads to more odor. I’ve been searching for a natural deodorant that I liked, have tried a few, but I wasn’t completely happy. Thus, the purchase of this book.
I want to have total control of the ingredients. In particular, I want to add the essential oils of my choosing, and vitamins to boost the health of my skin. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this ebook. Not only does it include recipes for deodorants but also body sprays, pet deodorizers (hallelujah! I have a basset hound) and room/air-fresheners. There are recipes for all skin types—acne-prone to dry and/or sensitive. I look forward to working with the recipes and tweaking them to fit my preferences.
Very concise and to the point! Recipes for every skin type. Everything you need to know to make your own deodorant. Info about the dangers of chemical deodorant was very eyeopening and exactly what i suspected! Very scary what we apply on our bodies everyday! Europe has outlawed some of the chemicals, great cause for concern!
Lots of MARVELOUS information about commercial products and the dangers therein, and many very interesting recipes that I plan to make and try over the next several weeks! Should be not only useful and beneficial, but lots of fun, and Christmas gifts with this kind of personal touch will be great and economical!!
