What an amazing look inside the modern dating world in today's digital age. 30 Dates tells the fascinating story of a single guy navigating the tortuous path of finding love thru online dating, SMS flirting, and blind date set ups. I couldn't put this book down as I anxiously flew through text "game" after "game" that teased of a potential match only to end up another miss. A must read for singles frustrated with the dating scene as well as those in the happiest of long term relationships. Sharing his most intimate thoughts, Tony pulls you into his mind as he analyzes each interaction, learning valuable lessons with every encounter. Written in a hysterically funny style, you can't help but laugh while you root for each subsequent date to be "the one". Subtle in the overall story is the evolution and mastery of Tony's social triggers - real life examples that anyone who is uncomfortable communicating can learn from. Do yourself a favor and check out this book...it won't disappoint!!!
This is a great read which takes you, no kidding, right into the heart of one man’s one-year experiment into the dating world and his search for love. Thomas gives the reader a different viewpoint than normally provided, exposing him to personal SMS text conversations that occur between himself and the many ladies he dates during this interesting time. With this, I got a bird’s eye view into the nuts and bolts of each blossoming encounter as it progressed from normal or weird, rocky start to “the friend zone,” a hysterical crash and burn, or just plainly, a without warning fizzle-out. Throw in Thomas’s hilarious, light and crisp commentary, and I found myself laughing out loud.
I initially picked this book up to get a great laugh (which I did) but it actually ended up being a cool self-help book, showing me how other men go through the same hard, wild times I’ve been through navigating the crazy dating world while providing me pointers for future run-ins along the way.
The book ended way too soon. One moment, I’m the proverbial fly-on-the-wall immersed in witty text conversation and Thomas’s gut-busting thoughts, the next, I’m reading the Epilogue, seeing the back cover and wishing there were 100 more pages. It’s a fast read, and a Part II is definitely in order. This is a book all men should read, not just for the laughs but for the lesson. Saving this one for my son.

Tony will make you laugh, cringe and feel that disheartening pit in your stomach with his honest account of online dating and quest to meet the woman of his dreams.
