Challenge your mind with virtually limitless Sudoku puzzles! The classic numbers-based logic game that's taken the world by storm, Sudoku offers 4 levels of difficulty, possibility to create own puzzles, cheater mode when game will solve your puzzles and undo/redo function.
Sudoku is a logic game played on a 9x9 grid using digits 1 through 9. This grid is further subdivided into nine 3x3 blocks. The goal is to fill in the grid with digits such that one and only one of each digit 1 through 9 appear in every row, column, and block. There is only one solution to a sudoku grid.
Select Create Grid if you want to work on a puzzle you have seen outside this game. Enter the layout of the puzzle on the blank grid and play the game normally.
Select Cheater if you just want to know the answer! Enter the layout of the puzzle you are stuck on into the blank grid. When you have entered the layout press the soft key indicator marked 'Solve' to see the correct answer.
You can write a list of possible numbers (candidates) for each empty cell to help you solve the grid. You can annotate empty cells with the pencil tool, which you can activate by pressing Pen/Pencil button. While in pencil mode, you can enter up to 6 candidates per cell.
The next easiest cell is highlighted in blue to help you solve the grid, however, if you do not want this on it can be turned off in options.
In the beginning of each game you receive some coins to pay for hints. Number of coins depends on the difficulty level. When your coins are gone, time will be added as a penalty for every hint.
I grabbed this when it was FAOTD, thinking I'd try it and probably remove it from my tablet. I have attempted the paper version of Sodoku before, and it "just wasn't my thing". I got insanely bored the day after installing this and decided to give it a whirl. I am so very glad I did! I ran through the tutorial, and then attempted my first "easy" puzzle... and promptly screwed it up! I decided to try one more time, and I became hooked. I'm now on the "medium" setting, and attempted my first "hard" one yesterday (required my first hint - ever!). Don't let the lack of "eye-candy" and "ear-candy" turn you away. I'm actually glad for it, as I have sensory processing disorder and the low-key style is just what I need to be able to focus. I do have to say, that while at first this game WAS offline play, as soon as I connected to amazon gamecircle, it sadly started requiring internet. Please fix this! :) For folks who are wavering on purchasing this... I do recommend it - and I rarely write reviews!
4.0 out of 5 starsAn excellent Sudoku game for the Kindle Fire

I have played a lot of these Sudoku games for tablets and handheld gaming devices. This one by 1C Wireless LLC is about as good as the rest. I hate to say it like that, but it's Sudoku. These programs are so simple that it's hard to make one that stands out. It's easy to use. It works great. Great little Sudoku game. The only reason I don't give it five stars is that it's missing the one element that I have seen in a very few others that is that difference maker for Sudoku games - the ability to record all of your possibilities in the square. There is one in particular that allows you to mark more numbers in each square. This allows you to see exactly what the possibilities are and help you to more easily figure which number actually fits best. It makes that game just like doing the one in the paper. To this version's credit, none of the others like it have this feature either. As far as these go, I would recommend this particular one to anybody that was looking for a good one.
5.0 out of 5 starsSudoku fun in a simple and easy format to play. The app does contain Analytics but they are limited in what they can download.

I am a fan of Sudoku as a fun and challenging mental game. This one is pretty easy to play and I like the fact that you can select a difficulty level. Sudoku can be a mind challenging and fun game to play like when you are flying and have a lot of time to kill. This game also includes some Mahjong boards to play.
The app provides a reasonable basic tutoring lesson on how to play Sudoku. When you choose a new game you can select easy, medium, hard or pro difficulties. The game provides you with a number of Hint coins (99). If you insert a wrong number in a wrong location it is immediately turned to red color on the easy level. You can select to use a pen if you want to insert the number or a pencil just to add a possible number to a square. On the medium level only the duplicated numbers are highlighted and on the hard or pro level you have to find the errors yourself.
The app does contain Amazon and Flurry Analytics but at the present time the data that can be seen by the developer is limited to your actions regarding game play and how well the app coding is working. Just make sure that future updates do not add in more permissions that could allow your personal information to be downloaded.
The main screen of this game has the following choices: * Play * Help * Options * Mahjong * Leaderboards * Exit button that really works
This app installed into my device memory and I have no opportunity to transfer it to my SD card memory. It installed at 5.29 MB in size. This app contains Amazon Insights Analytics and Flurry Analytics. It also uses Amazon game Circle.

I had never played this game before. I was trying to show my mother-in-law how much fun it would be to have a Kindle of her own. I knew she loved this game as well as many others that are available for Kindle. I called up this version of Sudoku and got her to teach me how to play. I failed to convince her to let me get her one for Christmas, but I got hooked on the game! I have not tried any other versions of the game, but this one works perfectly for me. Now all I have to do is learn how to put it down so I can do other things that are necessary to my life! Great game and great version as far as I am concerned. I love it!
I just started playing the puzzles as a way yo exercise my brain. I tried the puzzles in the paper, and bought a book that explained the strategy, with example puzzles, but still I was lost and felt frustrated. This game is a nice friendly way to learn the strategy and make (and fix) mistakes. Very easy to use and the layout is quite artistic and easy on the eyes. I recommend this online version. There are levels of difficulty, so once you master the strategy, you will still find puzzles to challenge you.
