About the Author

Adam Woolcock is a Melbourne Football Club historian, and owner of the MFC history site, the largest single club sporting history website in Australia. In 2018, was commended in the multimedia category of the Victorian Community History Awards.

Adam has published match reviews at since 2005, and in 2017 released The Great Deepression, a memoir of Melbourne's disastrous years – 2007-2016. Adam's MFC related Twitter account @demonblog has a following of more than 2100 people, including several prominent football journalists. He has also contributed sporting articles to Guardian Australia.
